Q: When does registration open and close?

A: Registration opens in July 2016. Registration will close when a maximum of 250 participants have made the minimum fundraising commitment required to be part of the FenwaYoga event.

Q: May I register someone else for FenwaYoga?

A: All participants must register themselves. Each participant must personally read and agree to a liability waiver and the required fundraising commitment.

Q: What is the fundraising minimum?

A: All registrants must raise/donate at least $125 to participate in the FenwaYoga class. We encourage you to fundraise beyond the minimum and increase your support of the Red Sox Foundation and its programs.

Q: What if I don’t reach the fundraising minimum? Will my space be forfeited?

A: Registration is limited and you must agree to raise or donate the fundraising minimum to participate in FenwaYoga. The website contains some fundraising ideas and a sample fundraising letter to help you in your fundraising efforts to meet the fundraising minimum. In the event that you do not raise your fundraising minimum, your credit card will be charged the difference between the minimum and the funds that you have raised as of Thursday. September 22, 2016 at 12 pm (noon) ET. Once you register to participate and agree to the fundraising minimum, your spot is secured. However, if there is a problem with payment for the balance due at the fundraising deadline of September 22, 2016 at 12 pm (noon) ET your spot will be forfeited and you will not be allowed to participate. All donations are non-refundable.

Q: How can I keep track of how much money I’ve raised?

A: Participants can keep track of how much money they have raised through their personal fundraising web page.

Q: How can I find a participant’s personal web page?

A: Visit www.FenwaYoga.org and click “Donate to a Participant.” This will take you to the “Participant Search and Donate” page where you can find the person you are looking for and make a donation to support them.

Q: I am interested in donating but not sure how much to give?

A: All contributions are tax deductible and will make a difference in the lives of children and families in need. There is no donation too big or small – all gifts are greatly appreciated and support the Red Sox Foundation. To donate via credit card, a minimum of $10 is required. Donations of amounts smaller than $10 may be made via check and mailed to: Red Sox Foundation, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215. If your donation is in support of a specific yoga participant, please include his/her full name on notation on check.

Q: Will donors receive tax documentations for their donation?

A: Donors who make an online donation will automatically receive an email acknowledging their tax deductible donation for their records. Donors who send in a check will receive a letter acknowledging their donation within 10 business days. If someone gives you cash, you may place the sum towards your yoga session, however we cannot offer a tax receipt as the team charity did not receive those proceeds directly.

Q: If I made a mistake making my donation, how can I fix it?

A: PLEASE DO NOT PRESS THE DONATE BUTTON MORE THAN ONCE! If you experience any problems with your donation, please immediately send an email to redsoxfoundation@redsox.com with a detailed message including a description of the problem encountered and your contact information. Please include both a cell phone number and email address so that we may contact you efficiently.

Q: What is the schedule for FenwaYoga?

A: The class is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am ET. The fundraising minimum is $125. The class will last 60 minutes.

Q: Where will the FenwaYoga classes take place?

A: The FenwaYoga classes will take place at Fenway Park along the warning track.

Q: Is there an age limit to who is eligible to participate?

A: Participants must be at least 16 years old to register.

Q: What skill level is required to participate in FenwaYoga?

A: All skill levels are welcome and invited to register for FenwaYoga.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: All yoga participants should plan to bring a water bottle. We will have complimentary snacks and drinks available for all participants at the conclusion of each class. If you have any dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own snacks.

Q: Do I need to bring my own Yoga mat?

A: No, Kulae will be providing each participant with a complimentary yoga mat!

Q: If I bring valuables, will they be safe?

A: Please leave your valuables at home. You can bring a bag to the event, but the Red Sox Foundation assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Q: Will daycare be available?

A: No, there will be no daycare availability.

Q: Is parking available at the event?

A: Parking is extremely limited – We recommend taking mass transit.

Q: Are guests allowed to the event?

A: Only registered participants are allowed to participate in the yoga session, however guests may attend the health & fitness expo located in the concourses of Fenway Park.

Q: What is the Health & Fitness Expo?

A: The Health & Fitness Expo at Fenway Park will feature sponsor booths, products and services, and entertainment. This pre- and post-yoga event is designed to enhance your yoga experience, provide information and a fun atmosphere.  Some concession stands will be open

Q: How are the fundraising monies used by the Red Sox Foundation?

A: The proceeds from this event will benefit the Red Sox Foundation’s Red Sox Scholars and RBI baseball and softball programs.

With the selection of the new class in 2016, the Red Sox Scholars Program now provides tutoring, enrichment activities, and college scholarships to 230 Boston Public School students. Awarded to student in middle school, the $10,000 college scholarships are redeemable upon enrollment in an accredited college and on the condition of continued good citizenship.

The Red Sox Foundation’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program uses the sport of baseball and softball to promote healthy choices and valuable life-skills including non-violent conflict resolution, resistance to drugs and alcohol, and educational achievement among at-risk teens. Volunteer coaches seek to help teens see that they have opportunities in life beyond their love of the game.
